  PLANNING YOUR FUNDRAISER

*Set Your Date early

  • We Suggest you confirm your date at least 3 months in advance, to have
    enough time for planning, gift solicitation, and ticket sales.

*Appoint Committees

  1. Ticket Sales Promotion
  2. Casino Table games Sponsorship
  3. Auction

*Establish a Schedule, Budget and Goals

  1. Set Goals and monitor progress of ticket sales, table sponsorship, and
    auction/prizes items.
  2. Create a budget in order to define your expected costs.

 

COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES

*Ticket Sales Promotion

  • The first responsibility of this committee is to set a fundraising goal.
    Ticket price and number of tickets to be sold should be determined by this goal.

 

COMMITTEE'S DUTIES

  1. Prepare and print promotional Literature.
  2. Prepare and print tickets.
  3. Determine all possible ways of selling tickets.
  4. Set a goal number of tickets to be sold by each Board and staff member.
    PRE –SALES ARE VERY IMPORTANT!!!

*Casino Table Games Sponsorship

  1. For table sponsorship, first look to your own Board of Directors.
    Your directors (or the companies they represent) should find table sponsorship.
  2. Search your list of known corporate givers and non-givers.
    Perhaps a company has donated annually to a charity. They might be willing to add the cost of a table to their donation.
  3. Make sure the donors receive the recognition they deserve.
    You can place a marker with their name on the table they donated.
  4. To cut the expense of the casino rental, you can provide a sponsor for the table and have someone volunteer to be a celebrity dealer.
    Five Star will be happy to set up an appointment to train your volunteer dealers at no extra charge.

 

*Auction/Prizes

  1. We suggest you obtain as many prizes as possible. Everyone will not be a winner, but the more prizes means more winners.
  2. Aim at 2-3 grand prizes.
  3. Solicit gifts, merchandise or services (restaurants,resorts,retail stores, sporting events, etc…).
  4. The gifts can be large or small, regardless of the size of the prize, your guests will love to feel like winners.


    Five Star Casino Rentals will always donate a table to fundraising events to be used as part of their event, silent auction item, or prize to give away.

*If you are planning a Fundraiser and request poker tables to be part of your event, you must get a license with the State of California DOJ Bureau Of Gambling Control.

The applicant must provide a copy of a certificate of determination of exemption from the state franchise board showing exemptions under sections 23701a, 23701b, 23701d, 23701e, 23701f, 23701g, 23701k, 23701l, or 23701w of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
